Behind the Scenes: ADDY Smackdown 2010

Each February, AAF-Fort Worth hosts the ADDY Awards, highlighting the best of the best in the Fort Worth creative scene. There is much anticipation to see who will walk away with the coveted ADDY trophies at the end of the evening, but this is not the only exciting part. Each year, the previous “Best of Show” winner is tasked with coming up for a theme for the next ADDY Gala. This year’s theme? Addy Smackdown. Warren Douglas came up with this ode to WWE and brought in Red Productions to help with the videos.
Several vignettes were needed to play throughout the awards ceremony as well as a flash intro for the website – www.addysmackdown.com. The day called for semi-professional wrestlers, a boxing ring set up in the Studios at Las Colinas, WD/Red Prod crew members and a few others willing to brave the ring with the wrestlers.
